about kelsey

My name is Kelsey Duncan and I am a 3rd year naturopathic medical student at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Honours Bachelor of Science and the uncertainty of where my journey was going to bring me next. I spent much of my undergraduate degree thinking a career in pharmacy was what I wanted, however, when the time came to begin making decisions I realized that I wasn’t listening to my heart. I wanted to be able to connect with people on a more personal level and it was important to me to stay true to myself. I knew immediately after researching CCNM that it was where I was meant to be and 8 months later there I was!

I began my journey in Naturopathic medicine in January 2013. Since, I have developed interests and further explored many modalities such as acupuncture, homeopathy, botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and hydrotherapy. I hope to combine my knowledge in each modality to bring effective and individualized care to my future patients.

In July 2014, I began training in Reiki healing. Currently I am a certified Level I Reiki Healer and look forward to furthering my Reiki practice.

I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with readers; new recipes I’m trying, modalities I am dabbling in and my overall journey exploring myself along with naturopathic medicine.
